“Will a man rob God?
Yet you have robbed Me!
But you say,
‘In what way have we robbed You?’
In tithes and offerings.
You are cursed with a curse,
For you have robbed Me,
Even this whole nation.
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.

Why Tithe?

1) As members of the Body of Christ, we are instructed to "bring all the tithes to the storehouse.
2) It obligates God. In Malachi 3:10, God says, Prove me (or try Me, or put Me to the test) to see if I will not open for your the windows of heaven."  In essence, God was saying if your trust me with the tithe, I will show you that I am faithful in keeping My promise.
3) Tithe because it pays honor to God. Proverbs 3:9 says, "Honor the Lord with your capital and sufficiency (from righteous labors) and with the first fruits of all your income (increase).
4) Tithing will keep plenty in your storage.  "So shall your storage places be filled with plenty & your vats shall be overflowing with
NEW WINE."  Proverbs 3:10
